Our Pastor
Pastor Ryan Mitchell grew up in South Haven, MI, a small town on the shores of Lake Michigan. He attended Michigan Lutheran High School in St. Joseph, MI, where he met his wife, Courtney (née Ritter). Ryan and Courtney both went on to attend Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and were married in the summer of 2021.
Ryan began his pastoral studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in the fall of 2021. He served his vicar year in Door County, WI, and graduated from the Seminary in May 2025. His parents are Scott and Jill Mitchell.
Courtney graduated from Martin Luther College with a degree in elementary education and a minor in coaching. She has taught at St. Marcus Lutheran School in Milwaukee, Peace Lutheran School in Hartford, and Zion Lutheran School in Egg Harbor. In 2023, Ryan and Courtney were blessed with a daughter, Lily. Courtney is currently working remotely and taking time off from teaching to care for Lily. They are expecting their second child in August.
Pastor Mitchell is blessed to serve Christus and he and his family are deeply thankful that the Lord has sent them to such a wonderful place.
